We are here today to consider that this land used to fall part of a successful DA run government. We are here to consider that we now stand on land which falls part of an unsuccessful and failed government. We are considering the success that was, the failure that is and fortunately within 40 days the success which can once again be, under a DA government.
Good, clean and transparent government is within the grasp of all residents. We must not dwell on the failures of the past administration but must look forward to the success of the future. And success it will be as we know that the DA’s policies are effective, clean and transparent. The DA’s policies ensure that we can deliver services to all our residents.
That is what this election is about. It is about the future, not the past. It is about delivery of roads, storm-water drains, running water, electricity and sewerage. We will be voting for these things. We are voting about job creation and we are voting for a better living environment. The election is about our future.
It is about bringing down high levels of crime and pushing up employment levels. It is about eradicating corruption and poor government and delivering, not promising services. Is that not what you want?
If you want lower crime levels, better roads, proper infrastructure and a government that understands job creation, then you must make sure that you, your friends and family go out and vote on the 18th of May. We can win this Metro. We can take it back from poor underperforming government. You can make sure that the DA gets the opportunity once again, to deliver for all. Invest your vote in us. Your return will be a DA win and we can once again stand on land governed by the DA.
